Lisa Bennett

Lisa Bennett devoted her 40-year career to philanthropic fundraising and organizational development.  She worked for Princeton, Stanford, Mount Holyoke, and various other organizations.  She retired recently from teaching as one of the most senior adjunct professors for Indiana University’s Fund Raising School, which is now part of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.  Lisa and her husband and daughter live on the island with their Samoyed and enjoy hiking, biking, and going to the Farmers’ Market.  Lisa also serves as an ordained clergy member in the Episcopal Church; as such, she focuses on issues of social justice.  “Safe and stable housing is simply one of the most basic of human needs.  I am proud to serve the people of our community through The San Juan Community Home Trust.”
