Holliwalk Solar

2025 San Juan Island Cares Campaign

Help us raise $108,393 to bring clean, renewable energy to HolliWalk.

The San Juan Community Home Trust is thrilled to share an exciting opportunity: we have been awarded a reimbursement-based grant from the Clean Energy Community Grant Program. The Home Trust is pleased to establish a collaborative partnership with our local electricians from Swiftwater Electric to install solar panels for our HolliWalk neighborhood—but the grant funds will be awarded to the Home Trust only after installation.

Right now we are fundraising through the San Juan Island Cares Campaign by the San Juan Island Community Foundation at the County Fair. Help us reach our $10,000 goal during the County Fair by donating through this link: https://sjicf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/grant?grant_id=19859

Your donation gets the project off the ground—and will be reinvested into future affordable housing once reimbursed.

The Home Trust's HolliWalk neighborhood consists of 8 homes that are equipped with triple glazed windows, high R-value insulations, photovoltaic readiness, and durable, low-maintenance materials. Already exceeding Washington State energy codes by nearly 18%, the project also anticipated a grant for solar panels, which we have now been selected to receive.

This effort will lower energy costs, promote energy independence, and support a greener, more resilient community.

Give today to power solar at HolliWalk—and help build what’s next.

The HolliWalk Solar project is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act.
