Lee’s Landing Announcement
The Home Trust is proud to announce that we have renamed our Argyle Affordable Housing Project in honor of Lee Sturdivant.
Lee’s Landing will provide 40 units of permanently affordable housing in Friday Harbor’s Historic District, with a low density, eco-friendly, community-oriented design and historic architectural detailing, right in Town within walking distance of all that Friday Harbor has to offer.
Announcing Our New Executive Director
We are so excited to share some big news. San Juan Community Home Trust has appointed Jess Blanch as our next Executive Director, effective June 15, 2026.
Jess brings more than 20 years of experience in architecture, affordable housing, and community development. She has helped facilitate the creation of over 11,000 affordable homes and is deeply aligned with our mission of creating forever affordable housing here on San Juan Island.
25th Anniversery Celebration at Roche Harbor
What a wonderful celebration we had commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the San Juan Community Home Trust at the Roche Harbor Pavilion!
The joy, pride, and camaraderie that were present can only be explained by how much we have all shared the mission of the Home Trust over our first 25 years.
Solar Power and Community Support for HolliWalk
HolliWalk reaches a major milestone with unanimous Town Council approval and completed solar installation, bringing sustainable, affordable housing closer to reality in Friday Harbor.
Moving Forward Together
The San Juan Community Home Trust is making significant progress toward expanding affordable housing in Friday Harbor, with updates on the Argyle and HolliWalk projects and strengthened partnerships with local leaders. With plans for 40 new homes, upcoming public hearings, and community-driven initiatives like solar-powered housing, the Home Trust continues its mission to keep homes permanently affordable.
LEADERSHIP TRANSITION
In the context of great leaps forward with two important projects, we want to share that – after several meaningful and productive years as the Home Trust’s executive director – Amanda Lynn has made the difficult decision to pursue her personal goals off the Island.
The Board has named Paul Fischburg, its current president, to step in as interim executive director. Amanda’s plan to continue working temporarily with Paul will bring stability and continuity – and will allow a seamless transition. Read more on the Journal:
HOLLIWALK IS UNLOCKED!
Thanks to your constant support, we have been able to reach a settlement agreement with the Town of Friday Harbor that will allow HolliWalk to exist under the community land trust model.
