We have land and we will continue to develop more permanently affordable homes on San Juan Island. While our focus of affordable homeownership is at the forefront of our mission, we regularly talk about expanding our model to include affordable rentals for islanders. McDonald

A gift of David and Patricia Giuliani, the Home Trust’s McDonald St. lot will become a single family home. We have already selected an architect and plan to begin fundraising and construction in 2024.
Sun Rise III

The Sun Rise III neighborhood will be situated between Sun Rise I and Sun Rise II on Grover Street. In 2023, the Home Trust selected an architect and is planning to build 8-12 homes on this plot of land to expand our Sun Rise community.
Lower 5 Acres

The Home Trust’s Lower 5 consists of 5 acres of undeveloped land, on Turn Point Rd., near Jensen’s Shipyard. The Home Trust plans to develop a community of mixed-income homes, expanding our permanently affordable housing portfolio substantially.
